Paterson and Imus

His appearance yesterday on the Don Imus show is part of the outgoing governor's blitz to reshape his legacy. Imus was, according to emails that surfaced, rooting for Paterson and considered helping him raise money for his campaign. Imus declined to comment when I asked him about it at the time.

"I"m moving on and the rest can stay and grapple with the budget and when they get lit up like I did, I'll watch it from the outside and have some sympathy for them," Paterson said on the show.
