Bloomberg: 'I do not think [Obama's] arrogant'

Monday, November 08, 2010 - 04:23 PM

Asked whether he told Rupert Murdoch that Obama is the most arrogant person he's ever met, Michael Bloomberg said he "remembered" his conversation with Murdoch differently.

Bloomberg said he thought Obama is a "very smart guy" and "I do not think he's arrogant." Asked how he'll clear up the confusion with the White House, Bloomberg said Obama was currently in India "worrying about a lot bigger things" and that the "last thing he needs is a call from me."

Bloomberg's remark about Obama was relayed by Murdoch to an Australian newspaper on Friday.

Bloomberg's comments today came during his Q&A; at City Hall.
