Matt Buchanan, editor at FWD, Buzzfeed's technology channel, discusses what happened at this year's South by Southwest Tech conference.
I had always used the word curator as one who organized museum shows. A curator had to know a tremendous amount about any subject in order to pick the best representations of an idea or theme. I prefer to think of this new breed of internet, so called curators, as compilers, organizers as that is a less rarified description of their activities. Yes, it has a less lofty sound, but I think is more truthful..
So, this thing with the homeless people being used as WiFi hotspots-- is that curating the homeless, or aggregating them?

Where is plain old humanity?
