Cuomo Makes Edible Super Bowl Bet With Mass. Governor

Ahmad Bradshaw #44 of the New York Giants celebrates a win against Dallas.

Governor Andrew Cuomo is putting up yogurt, bagels, and cheesecake against pies, chowder, and chips in a Super Bowl bet with Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick.

If the Patriots beat the Giants Sunday in Super Bowl XLVI, Cuomo will send Patrick 46 cases of New York-made Greek yogurt, 46 dozen Ess-a-Bagels and 46 Junior's cheesecakes.

If the Giants prevail, Cuomo will win some New England favorites including Legal Sea Foods clam chowder, 46 Centerville Pies from “The Pie Ladies and 46 cases of "Food Should Taste Good" chips.

The winning governor will donate the proceeds to a Food Bank.

Mayor Bloomberg and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino also have a bet going: If the Giants win, a New York family of four will win a Super Tour of Boston.

They will receive: JetBlue tickets; a two-night stay at the Ritz Carlton; dinner at Legal Seafoods Harborside and at the Top of the Hub restaurant; tickets to a performance at the Citi Performing Arts Center; and, box seats at a Bruins or Celtics game.
