TIKA HEMINGWAY (Middleweight 165lb/75kg)
Hometown: Pittsburgh, PA
Age: 24
Age started boxing: 17
Record: USA Boxing National Champion, National Golden Glove Champion

Even after her champion bouts, Tika Hemingway admits she still gets what she calls “The Mike Tyson syndrome”: “I just start crying before I get in the ring. I’m like a big, big baby. I just get nervous.”

But Hemingway says there are upsides to her outbursts: “I have my best performances when I cry. I turn into a superhero after I cry. I see everything.”

Hemingway says she’s “watching people all the time” -- in the ring, at weigh-ins and even outside of boxing. “If I go into a business meeting, I’m observing you, I know what to say, I know what angle to use to persuade you because of your body language." Listen to more above.
