Former New York City Congressman Anthony Weiner is ending a rough year with some good news.

The disgraced Democrat and his wife Huma Abedin are welcoming their first child, a boy.

A spokeswoman for Weiner says Jordan Zain Weiner was born Wednesday.

Weiner resigned from Congress in June amid outrage over sexually explicit emails and social media postings involving several women. Republican Bob Turner won a special election to represent his Brooklyn-Queens district.

Abedin is a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton.
