Egyptian writer and activist Mona Eltahawy will discuss the recent news from Egypt, including her detention and the injuries she sustained at the hands of security forces.
Perhaps Ms. Eltahawy could comment on bigot Benjamin Netanyahu's characterization of Arab pro-democracy movements as "anti-democratic" and "anti-Israel". Netanyahu's racist line has been parroted by obedient neo-cons in the US.
Will Mr. Lehrer risk raising this question given the hysterical anti-Arabism in the US and New York.
Listening to this interview, I just keep thinking over and over, "What a woman!" Your guest is an amazingly strong and courageous person. She has been through a lot, and she is obviously unbowed.
