Lighted Boats Parade Around NY Harbor

Saturday, November 26, 2011

The Thanksgiving Day Parade is over but the spirit of St. Nick is still hanging around New York.  A variety of boats — tour boats, work boats, private boats — will gussy up and have their own parade in New York Harbor Saturday evening.

The New York Harbor Lighted Boat Parade begins at 7 p.m. Each vessel will be decorated with twinkling lights and holiday décor, and just like in the Macy's Parade, Santa will be on the last 'float.'

The boats will begin at Pier A off Battery Park and sail up to the Manhattan Bridge before turning around and returning to port.

Boat parade viewing locations:

6:15 to 6:30 p.m. - Boats muster at Pier 66 near West 26th Street

6:30 to 6:45 p.m. - Hoboken Waterfront

6:45 to 7 p.m. - Jersey City Waterfront

7:15 to 7:30 p.m. - Brooklyn Bridge Park

7:30 to 7:45 p.m. - South Street Seaport

8 to 8:15 p.m. - Battery Park City

8:15 to 8:30 p.m. - Hudson River Park
