New Music from the Berbers

There's music from North and West Africa on this New Sounds program.  We'll hear a trancey and exuberant series of recordings of master musicians of Gnawa from Ouled Bambara.  Also, we'll listen to the latest from the nomadic band Tinariwen from northern Mali -  Saharan seven-piece Malian desert blues with twanging guitar-led fuzz and funk.

Plus music by fellow Malian Issa Bayagogo on the banjo-like instrument called the ngoni, something from guitarist Justin Adams, and more.
