Radiolab Fans Design Their Own Swag
Thursday, December 10, 2009
Okay, this is a little embarrassing, but some people really, really love our pals at Radio Lab. A group of the show's fans (who happen to be fabulous artists and designers) created a series of limited edition prints to show their support for the show.
Here's what Jez Burrows, who got the project started, has to say:
"In Radiolab We Trust is a limited, affordable set of prints by five international artists, designers and illustrators - Jez Burrows, Frank Chimero, Nicholas Felton, Meg Hunt, and Impactist - the profits from the sale of which (after some scant printing and packaging costs are reclaimed) will go entirely to Radiolab and WNYC, New York Public Radio.
These are Gocco prints - Gocco is a hand-printing process similar to screen-printing - on 100% recycled 300gsm stock. Each print is stamped and numbered on the reverse, and each set of five is housed in a translucent envelope, numbered in an edition of only 50. Prints are C5 sized (160mm wide by 223mm tall)."
Have a look at all the submissions and pick your favorite. The one with the most votes will get printed on WNYC tote bags (and t-shirts). (And then you can get one, after you make a pledge that may or may not be the price of a daily cup of coffee.)
