Mr, Liu and his fellow "public servant" embezzler, DeBlasio, and numerous other graduates of Christine Quinn's school for scandal in the City Council are entirely venal and corrupt.
Surpassed only by cravenness of the major news organizations of this city and the office of the assistant u.s. attorney.

Always skeptical from NYC

Brian,

By your question to the NYT reporter about donors' language proficiency, are you saying that a well-educated controller--who is no rookie with election rules--and/orhis staff couldn't be bothered to understand the rules well enough to get translated donor cards, if the donors were not English proficient. Liu talks constantly about public accountability, but he doesn't owe the public the duty to check the regs., and follow them.?

Even if there were language barrier issues, how does a phantom donor end up on a list. Is that a language issue?

Should Liu be held to a different standard?
