Last Day of School for Hundreds of School Aides

Budget cuts have trickled down to the support staff in many of the city's neediest schools. About 700 school aides, parent coordinators and family workers are out of work after today. SchoolBook reporter Fernanda Santos tells WNYC Host Amy Eddings that the principals who made the cuts at their individual schools didn't know for sure workers would be out of a job because in years past money was found to save them. But that's not the case this year. Hear the full conversation.
