There's some Lady Gaga, a bit of Regina Spektor and a hint of Anna Netrebko in Elizaveta's onstage DNA.

Born in New York City and raised in Moscow, Elizaveta performs her songs with a particular Victorian flair: her big voice is often complimented by a nest of hair, a glittering mask and a regal ball gown. Her musical technique requires no costumes, though — it's clear that she's spent hours practicing Prokofiev, Chopin and Tchaikovsky.

In the remix of "Dreamer," Elizaveta shows off her romantic sensibilities — "I believe in fairy tales and serendipitous encounters" — with overlaid voices that bring to mind a hazy mist worthy of the Brothers Grimm. The real magic is the fact that the song manages to be worthy of a swanky lounge without losing its acoustic piano sensibility.
