A question nobody's raised: why did the US administration put its chief military and intelligence officials on view this way? What is the message to Americans? To me it seems clear: get ready for a much larger involvement in Afghanistan -- and maybe war -- or something like it -- with Pakistan. Of course, Afghanistan is relatively easy: they do not have nuclear weapons.

A war with India is the paramount issue with the Pakistan military. Hence in case of war, Afghanistan, Pashtunistan in specific, is seen as the place for Pakistani forces to withdraw as Sind and Punjab is over run by the Indians. Then it follows that the Pakistan must control who is in charge of their neighbor.

The UN has two functions:

It's a place where leaders get together and pretend to be "doing something", in order to pacify the increasingly suspicious and restive world populace. Like Obama's recent nonsense speech, where he stood there and filled his time by recounting the history of the UN.

It's also a meeting place where world leaders can get together behind closed doors and make evil and corrupt deals with each other.

That's all the UN is. A pacifier and a world office building.

So where is the great UN in all of this. Why can the UN not decertify countries that are worthless, like pakistan, north Korea etc?? Because The UN is a worthless entity.

I am so sick of hearing about Pakistan....Afghanistan...Iran...Iraq...Yemen... Libya, etc etc etc. on and on and on and on blah blah blah blah blah blah.... so sick of it. So, so, so sick of it.

We need to shut our doors, detach from all the crap going on elsewhere in the world, and heal OUR country. OUR country.

So sick of it. So, so sick of it. Radio going off now...

When will we just abandon these societies and allow them to go back to killing each other. And not allow them to come here. They are sick societies, endless religious infighting, child brides, abuse of women, slavery. Lets just close the door of these worthless nations.

What is the main reason that Pakistan collaborate with US? Is it to control AQ, which interferes & potentially destabilizes there own competing terrorist organizations (like Haqqani (sp?) network? And/Or is it for these operations & corrupt generals too get lots of US $$$? If so, how does the recent find of huge mineral wealth in Afghanistan play a role? Will it ease both Pakistan's appetite for US support by giving new source of wealth, as well as motivate Pakistan to play nice with AQ & even support them via Taliban in Afghanistan? Thank You.

The U.S. government should make public the proof or evidence of this long-standing Pakistani duplicity - then cut off all of our foreign aid (i.e., our taxes). It is obvious that we have not been getting our money's worth!
