Have there been any studies that show a direct correlation between raised teacher pay and increased student performance. In other words, do happier teachers (perhaps with less need for second jobs) make for happier & more productive students?

Standards will become almost immediately outdated as technology advances and things change very quickly. We should instead make logic and thoughtfullness standards instead of current facts.
