Alexandra Styron describes her experience growing up as the daughter of the brilliant, tormented Pulitzer Prize-winning author William Styron. In constant pursuit of The Great Novel, he and his work were the dominant force in his family’s life. Reading My Father portrays the wide sweep of his life, from his childhood to his literary success to his spiral into depression.
