I like the new idea of a book club. I suggest two books on the civil rights movement.
Arc of Justice by Kevin Boyle. It's about the murder trial of the sweets and their friends defending the Sweets right to move into a white section of Detroit. in 1925. Clarence Darrow defended them.

The second book is A Lawyer's Journey about Morris Dees and the Southern Poverty Law Center. He talks about his upbringing in a rural town in Alabama and his travel from his segregated environment
to a legal career defending people from prejudice and bigotry.
