Glenn Ford: A Life

Friday, May 13, 2011

Peter Ford talks about the volatile life and career of his father, the renowned actor Glenn Ford: star of the classic films "Gilda," "Blackboard Jungle," "The Big Heat," "3:10 to Yuma," and "The Rounders." Glenn Ford: A Life tells of his talent-driven career and is also a cautionary tale of the actor's relentless infidelities and long, slow fade-out.

Outstanding program interviewing Peter Ford.
I would also have enjoyed having him read a segment of the book.
Cinmarron is one of my favorite Glenn Ford movies - he makes acting look effortless.

A fine actor and a complete actor as stated.

Very few today could be as versatile.

Mr. Ford appeared in a 1939 movie that had one of the all-time great titles, "Heaven with a Barbed Wire Fence."

By the by, I know quite a few actors who wouldn't mind a "long, slow fade-out," particularly if it meant getting paid for doing what they love.
