Letter to the President

This week, Attorney General Eric Holder authorized federal investigators to take “significant steps” in building a case against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for publishing classified documents. This is worrying some members of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, who wrote a letter to Holder and President Obama urging restraint. Professor Todd Gitlin, who signed the letter, says freedom of the press is at stake.
