On July 23, Stone and Holt Weeks were killed in a car accident. They were the sons of a dear colleague and friend. A foundation has been created in their names and this week's show is dedicated to their memory.
And, finally, this on Sunday, at Washington’s National Cathedral, a memorial service for Stone and Holt Weeks, two young men killed in a highway accident last week. Stone and Holt were the sons of our dear friends Jan, and NPR colleague, Linton Weeks. Both young men were research assistants to scholars at Rice University, and both had a deep and abiding interest in the world beyond their own remarkably rich lives. This show is dedicated to their memory. This is On the Media from WNYC. I'm Bob Garfield.
