Toyota officials in Japan are now saying that they are considering a recall of the 2010 Prius hybrid because of a flaw in the car’s anti-lock braking system. This flaw could affect other models as well. We find out more from New York Times Detroit bureau chief Bill Vlasic.

Bill Vlasic also talks to us about Guadalupe Alberto, a woman who died in a car crash in 2008. Her car was not one of the models recently recalled by the auto maker, and her family's attorney alleges that the accident was due to a problem with the electictronic throttle failure. But this might just broaden the scope of the company's issues beyond mechanical fixes to questions about the cars' software and electronics.
