Political Heavyweights Pay Respect to Geraldine Ferraro at NYC Funeral

A who's who of Democrats came to pay their respects Thursday at the upper East Side funeral mass for former Congresswoman Geraldine Ferraro, the first woman to run for U.S. vice president on a major party ticket.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg joined Bill and Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Madeleine Albright at the exclusive funeral mass at the Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer.

Ferraro died Saturday from a form of blood cancer. She was 75.

Her three children were among those who gave eulogies at the ceremony, which was expected to last 2-1/2 hours.
