Listen to a veritable melting pot of music for this New Sounds.  Quebec meets the Middle East in the music of the McDades, folk-jazz with a dash of tabla or santoor.  Then Norwegian and bluegrass fiddles mix in the odd chamber group called QQQ.  We'll hear from their debut release, "Unpacking the Trailer."  Plus, Brazil, Africa, and India come together in the work of Codona, from a new retrospective collection, and more.

I would like to know how to get in touch with the Cannadian artist to forward to him a Hymn to Aton, the Sun God of ancient Egypt. I was driving and could not register his name. I just loved his music and his passionate love for Egypt. My Grandchildren and I want to get his recordings.

Hi there/have loved the show for years; thank you John and everyone there. Wondering what happened to Saturday night's episode? I saw this announcement yesterday via your Facebook feed:
"tonite - (11 pm,, 93.9 FM) - songs by Gavin Bryars for Holly Cole; also a @tomwaits cover & Mr. Waits himself makes a vocal cameo"
Missed the broadcast and don't see it listed here on the site.
