Bloomberg Says 'New Yorker' Cover Mocking Him Is 'Cute'

Friday, February 04, 2011

Mayor Bloomberg said the New Yorker cover this week featuring a caricature of himself gazing lovigly at his reflection in a heart-shaped mirror is "cute."

The magazine shows the billionaire mayor, chin in hands, sitting at a vanity with a bottle of Champagne and with a box of Valentine's Day chocolates that reads "To me."

"It was cute," Bloomberg, who celebrates his birthday February 14, said Thursday. "I like what I see in the mirror."

The cartoon was sketched by Barry Blitt who also drew Barack and Michelle Obama fist-bumping one another.
