As the awards season goes into full sparkle, WNYC’s Sara Fishko listens in on a group of non-glitzy winners of a few weeks ago.  Some chat among masters, in this edition of Fishko Files...

Each year the National Endowment for the Arts awards distinguished jazz musicians with the Jazz Master Award. This year's Jazz Masters are flutist Hubert Laws, saxophonist David Liebman, composer and arranger Johnny Mandel, producer Orrin Keepnews, and the Marsalis family. This installment of Fishko Files features selected conversations from a panel discussion with this year's Jazz Master recipients.
