The Early Word for Friday December 31, 2010

Thursday, December 30, 2010

It's the last Early Word for a while.  We're going on hiatus next week, so we can reboot and revamp the podcast...and bring you something even better in the new year.  Check the podcasts page at our web site for updates.  And if there's anything YOU'd like to hear in a new and improved Early Word, let us know!  Go to wnyc dot org and send us an email.

Happy New Year!

I enjoy and miss the podcast. Not being in/from nyc i appreciate the national/world news as well as the timeliness. (thankyou, EST.)

Please, hurry back!

Like the podcast but a few suggestions: it's both TOO NYC focused (not even a WRAP UP of national/world events) and not NYC focused enough (10 words on the weather and the occasional mention of how the Knicks did might be nice). Gig Alert seems like a large percentage of overall time dedicated to effectively bestowing Gisele's imprimatur on an obscure band. A little less time and a broader "goings on about town" focus would be nice.
