Airline delays seem likely to last well past the time that the snow drifts melt, and the new class of incoming governors will  face starker economic realities than those before them. Also, an incumbent president who won't accept the recent election in Ivory Coast; unwritten post-blizzard parking rules in South Boston; a check-in with Gulf coast residents; the growing public roles for American Muslim women; and a look ahead to scientific investigation in 2011.
