Severe Weather Service Changes in NYC Area

NYC Subway

  • Downtown 1 Train service is bypassing the Dyckman St Station
  • Uptown 2 train service is running express between the East 180th Street Station and the Wakefield-241st Street Station.
  • 5 train service is suspended between the East 180th Street Station and the Eastchester-Dyre Avenue Station.
  • Due to a train with mechanical problems at the 33rd Street-Rawson Station, 7 train service is suspended between the Flushing-Main Street Station and the Times Square-42nd Street Station.
  • A train service is suspended between the Euclid Avenue Station and the Far Rockaway-Mott Avenue Station in both directions.
  • B train service is suspended between the Bedford Park Boulevard Station and the Brighton Beach Station.
  • M train service is suspended between the Middle Village-Metropolitan Avenue Station and the Forest Hills-71st Avenue Station.
  • Due to mechanical problems, D train service is suspended between the 36th Street Station in Brooklyn and the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue Station in both directions at this time.
  • F train service is suspended between the Church Avenue Station and the Jay Street-Metro Tech Station.
  • Due to cancellation of planned work, D train service is running its regular route.
  • G train service is suspended between the Hoyt-Schermerhorn Station and Church Avenue Station in both direction.
  • Due to a train with mechanical problems at the 121st Street Station, there is no J train service in both directions between the Jamaica Center-Parsons Boulevard/Archer Avenue Station and the Broad Street Station.
  • L train service is suspended between the Myrtle-Wyckoff Avenues Station and the Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway Station.
  • There is no Q train service between Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue Station and Dekalb Avenue Station in both directions at this time.
  • There is no N train service between the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue and the 59th Street Station in both directions at this time.
  • Due to cancellation of planned work, N train service is running its regular route.
  • Tthere is no Franklin S in both directions between the Franklin Avenue Station and the Prospect Park Station.
  • Check with the MTA for continuing updates.

NYC Buses

  • All New York City Transit local and express buses are running with system wide delays. There is no limited stop bus service in all boroughs.
  • Manhattan-bound Bx19 bus service will terminate at Fredrick Douglass Blvd and 145th Street.
  • Bx12 select bus service will be making local stops.
  • M4 bus service is terminating at Cabrini Circle.
  • M11 bus service is not entering Riverbank Park.
  • Northbound Q65 bus service between Highland Avenue and Hillside Avenue will be detoured; Q65 will continue straight on Parsons Boulevard, make a right onto Highland Avenue to 164th Street, then continue its regular route.
  • Southbound Q23 bus service between Ditmars Boulevard and Astoria Boulevard will be detoured; Q23 will continue straight on Ditmars Boulevard to a right on 108th Street, right on Astoria Boulevard then regular route.
  • Check with the MTA for continuing updates.

LIRR

  • All passenger service remains suspended systemwide until further notice.
  • Check with the MTA for continuing updates.

NJ Transit

  • North Jersey Coast Line service has been restored.
  • Rail service is operating on an enhanced weekend schedule on all other lines except the Atlantic City Rail Line. Visit njtransit.com for schedule details. Atlantic City Rail Line service will follow a regular weekday schedule. Service on NJ TRANSIT rail lines is subject to 15-30 minute delays due to weather conditions.   • Hudson-Bergen Light Rail service is suspended systemwide due to weather-related operating conditions.
  • Bus service remains suspended systemwide until further notice. There is currently no estimate on when bus service may be restored.
  • Newark Light Rail is operating on a modified schedule with trains every 20-30 minutes.  There is no Newark Light Rail service at Newark Broad Street Station.  Service is operating between Atlantic Street and Newark Penn Station, and between Grove Street and Newark Penn Station.
  • River Line is suspended between Walter Rand Transportation Center and Waterfront Entertainment Center stations due to snow accumulation. Service is operating normally between Walter Rand Transportation Center and Trenton.
  • Access Link paratransit service is suspended on Monday, December 27.
  • Check with NJ Transit for continuing updates.

PATH Train

  • PATH train service is only operating from Grove Street to 33rd Street via Hoboken in both directions and Journal Square to World Trade Center in both directions.
  • Check with PATH for continuing updates.

Airports

  • JFK and Newark airports closed until 6 pm Monday.
  • Laguardia airport closed, unknown when it's expected to reopen.
  • Check with the FAA for continuing updates.

Amtrak

  • Service restored between NY and Boston.
  • Check with Amtrak for continuing updates.

Regional Buses

  • Bolt Bus service cancelled Monday. A decision about Tuesday’s operations is expected by 2 pm Monday.
  • Megabus service canceled until at least 4:00pm on Monday, December 27th. Service scheduled to resume at 6 am on Tuesday, December 28th, but Megabus recommends checking back with their website before traveling. 
  • Vamoose service cancelled for Monday.
  • Greyhound has cancelled service all along the East coast from the Mid-Atlantic up to Canada. Passengers are encouraged to call 800-231-2222 for ticket information.

Other Changes

  • Sidewalk of George Washington Bridge closed until further notice.
  • NYC suspended alternate side parking regulations for Monday.
