Trembling Bells describe themselves as a song-based group.

A group "who seek to reanimate the psychic landscapes of Great Britain and relocate them to some vague, mythic land where basic human crises are encountered and conquered." Members of the band have backgrounds as diverse as medieval music and free improvisation, and they reach for the ecstatic by entwining those approaches with traditional folk melodies. Visiting briefly from the UK, Trembling Bells join host David Garland to talk about and perform their music in the WNYC Studio.
