Opens with reporter describing the planned events for the broadcast. He describes the composers represented on the broadcast and tells of the history of the UN Day Concert.

Features the London Symphony Orchestra, directed by Sir Georg Solti with Isaac Stern on violin.

Music follows, selections by Sir Arthur Bliss and others.

New York Public Library is missing RT197 and RT198.
