Forty Thieves Square
Forty Thieves Square, Baghdad," by Steve Mumford
Since April of 2003, artist Steve Mumford has been making trips to Baghdad armed with a sketch pad, pen and ink. There, he spends time with U.S. soldiers, Iraqi police officers, local artists and others, and creates pictures of daily life in a place we hardly think of as picturesque. Speaking from Baghdad, he shares some of his observations with host Dean Olsher. Produced by Emily Botein.
