Dr. Prager of City College discusses drugs in war. Begins with a short history of medicine focusing on naturally-occurring drugs. Modern development of drugs from non-organic sources. Chemistry will save us from the necessity of "ransacking the so-called herb gardens from China to Peru" and from relying on the bounties of nature. Synthetic vs. natural drugs. Chemotherapy. Combatting bacterial invasion.
