Walter Mosley
Walter Mosley has written crime fiction, science fiction, and political non-fiction, but all his works have been concerned with issues of race; his Easy Rawlins stories have been praised as groundbreaking in their incorporation of gritty urban realism and social consciousness into the mystery novel. One of the few genres he hasn't yet tackled is nature writing, so I've invited him to take a trip into the wilds and to share with me the contents of his survival kit.
