Grey Reverend
As Grey Reverend, LD Brown makes compelling songs with reverence for the grey, undefined areas of style, and without concern for standard musical, social, or even racial expectations. Grey Reverend joins host David Garland in the WNYC Studio to talk about and perform his lyrical, personal songs. Get to know an interesting and eloquent singer, guitarist and composer who until now hasn’t been widely heard.

Thank you David and Reverend Grey for making this holiday weekend a pleasant one as everyone is enjoying their BBQ's and I am confined to JFK Airport at work. I sensed a tip of the hat to Nick Drake right off the bat on the first tune and I knew I was in for a treat. As always David, you offer something to look forward to even hours before the program has begun. Keep up the good work and I also enjoyed the American Folk pieces you selected. Without question, spinning on Air is the most interesting music program that keeps evolving and presenting pleasant (and even sometimes abrasively pleasant) surprises.
Thank you.
Dan
