Spinning On Air

Halloween
For the last 19 years on WNYC David Garland has been spinning a varying, choice selection of the many spooky, zany, recordings celebrating Halloween. This year, knock again on Spinning On Air's creaking oaken door to receive a grab bag of tricky musical treats. From Ultimate Spinach's "Hip Death Goddess" to Cat Power's "Werewolf," and from Boris Karloff to the Shaggs, you'll get a wide range of songs about ghosts, witches and more, including recordings made for Spinning On Air by Donovan, Antony and the Johnsons, and songwriters Dave Deporis, and Jim Allen.
