    Akron/Family Workshop

The band Akron/Family is adventurous, imaginative, and known for the vitality of their marathon concerts. The fact that they are also prolific is made clear by this show. Their new album, "Meek Warrior," has just been released, but they gather in the WNYC Studio not to play music from that album; instead they join host David Garland to record the demos for their NEXT album! The songs have just been composed, were arranged by the band a couple weeks ago in a Pennsylvania garage, and here they try them out for the WNYC microphones, giving us the chance to hear the songs at this early stage in their evolution.
