Metalic Falcons

Sunday, July 09, 2006

The women of Metallic Falcons often wear long cotton beards and masks when they perform. The music itself is sometimes masked in beards of distortion. But masks can both conceal and declare identities, and the music of Metallic Falcons is both mysterious and emotionally immediate. Artist/musician Matteah Baim, and Sierra Casady (of CocoRosie) are the core of Metallic Falcons, and with drummer Lacy Lancaster they join host David Garland to perform an in-studio set of their dream-like songs.
