Philip K. Dick Loved Music, and Music Loves Him
Maverick science fiction writer Philip K. Dick loved music, and there are references to it in his numerous books.
Musicians have reciprocated, and this week on Spinning On Air you can hear a variety of music inspired by Dick texts (from Sonic Youth, Tod Machover, and others); music from films based on his work, such as "Blade Runner" and "Minority Report"; and the late Dick himself, a charismatic and loquacious talker, ruminating on a work in progress.
