Music by Ib Glindemann, The Four Bags and more
Tonight's Spinning On Air features a wide range of recordings, including some "Happy Technology" music written in about 1960 by Danish composer Ib Glindemann. Also, the group The Four Bags will perform in the WNYC studio. They play trombone, electric guitar, accordion, and sax, and make that odd combination work really well on original material as well as music by The Beach Boys, XTC, and Chopin.
The New York-based ensemble Four Bags perform mostly original music composed by members of the group, but they are also fond of slipping in covers which range from the music of Brian Wilson to Kurt Weill. Additional information can be found here.
