Lau Nau (Laura Naukkarinen) and Kuupuu (Jonna Karanka) are two musicians from Finland. Each in her own way is finding rich musical ground in the territory between song and sound. Using electronics, toys, free improvisation, and folk songs, their music elegantly combines simple tools and extraordinary imagination. Lau Nau and Kuupuu join host David Garland in the WNYC Studio to perform and improvise, and to talk about their music.
