The French ensemble Orchestre National de Jazz, directed by Daniel Yvinec, has recorded an album called "Around Robert Wyatt" which celebrates, investigates, and reinterprets the songs of Wyatt. With the 1960s group Soft Machine, and on his many subsequent solo albums, British composer, singer, and multi-instrumentalist Robert Wyatt has created songs that are adventurous, but always personal, human, and humane. Host David Garland presents highlights from "Around Robert Wyatt," featuring vocals by Wyatt himself, as well as by Rokia Traore and others.

Thanks for the feature on Around Robert Wyatt -- heavenly stuff!!! What a sweet new take on "Te Recuerdo Amanda," usually known as recorded by Victor Jara and Silvio Rodriguez. Probably wouldn't have discovered this were it not for listening to your show.
