The Picts were the ancient inhabitants of what's now Scotland, and Scottish songwriter Johnny Lynch calls his project The Pictish Trail. But Johnny's songs are very modern amalgams of folk, pop, soul, and experimentalism, as you can hear when The Pictish Trail joins host David Garland to present his music in the WNYC Studio. Back in Scotland Johnny also helps run Fence Records and organize The Fence Collective, projects that document and bring together a lively community of songwriters. He'll tell us about that, and sing some songs along with friends Viking Moses and Golden Ghost.
