Dev Hynes first came to blog-fueled prominence as a member of the brash, British, 21st Century punk band Test Icicles. Now, using the heroic name Lightspeed Champion, Hynes has re-made himself into a troubador, singing his own compelling, confessional, lushly-arranged songs. Lightspeed Champion, in the concentrated form of Hynes and violinist Mike Siddell, join host David Garland to perform in the WNYC Studio, and talk about the urgencies and eccentricities of songwriting.
