Noah Georgeson with Pete Newsom

« previous episode | next episode »

Sunday, March 04, 2007

Composer, singer, and guitarist Noah Georgeson first visited Spinning On Air a few years ago as a member of Devendra Banhart's band White Buffalo Deer Woman Appears. Soon after that, Noah sent host David Garland an album-in-progress of his unusual songs, some of which were subsequently heard on SOA. Now finally that album, "Find Shelter" has been released, and Noah returns to SOA, along with percussionist Pete Newsom, to discuss his music and perform his uncategorizable songs about landscapes, history, and the people who inhabit them.
