Lisa Germano creates moody songs where thoughts of mortality bump up
against hope and love, and trying to understand motivations is the
motivation for song. The intimacy of her singing voice draws you in,
and can make you feel like you're overhearing her thoughts. Lisa
returns to Spinning On Air for the third time, joining host David
Garland to talk about what songwriting means to her now, and about her
new album, "In the Maybe World." And, accompanying herself at the WNYC
Steinway grand piano, Lisa sings some extraordinary versions of her
songs.
