A young woman from Paris, Cecile Schott records and performs under the name Colleen, because, she says, the repetitions and typographical loops in the name reflect her music. Using a blend of acoustic instrumentsclassical guitar, music boxes, cello, bellsand electronic digital delays, she weaves and layers sounds into gentle but rough-hewn tapestries. She joins host David Garland to talk about her music and to create her sonic tapestries live in the WNYC studio.
