For Spinning On Air’s year-end special we count our blessings by featuring music recorded especially for the show, either in WNYC's studio or on location. Plenty of interesting musicians visited SOA in 2002, and their creativity can entertain and maybe even inspire hope for the new year: in a troubled world it's good to hear that imaginative individuals are expressing themselves. Host David Garland dips into the SOA archive of unique performances by John Linnell, Lisa Germano, Goldfrapp, Mia Doi Todd (pictured), The Four Bags, Sport Murphy, John Simon, Will Holshouser's Trio, Brian Dewan, Devendra Banhart, and Marianne Nowottny.
