I'm really confused by the scientific term "NO!" do you guys have any idea what that means?
Under-addressed childlike geeky science dudes - does this make you Scientologists?
I love this show! Subway musicians play an important role in the daily commute for New Yorkers. Most of the time, I enjoy whatever music is being played. Some of the time I love what's being played. The MTA and the city should do more to promote and assist these great people many of whom have great talent!!
My boys and I LOVE this album. Although my girlfriend complains that the songs are TOO catchy. She can't shake them for days after hearing them.
My favorite part of the record is when they have to immediately correct their Sun song with "Miasma of incandescent plasma". Its like the self-correcting nature of science itself.
I have been a fan of They Might Be Giants going on 20 years now. I must say that I really love being able to share them with my kids. My son has been hooked since "Go for G"
Listening to "Meet the Elements" made me think of Tom Lehrer's "The Elements" song. I think They Might Be Giants should do a cover of that song --which I think is about the Periodic Table.
They were educating even before these albums! In high school 15 years ago, our Biology teacher thought we were cheating because, on a test question where we had to name mammals, three of us (TMBG fans) named the same mammals in the same order. Keep up the great work.

PS- I should have mentioned, this is thanks to the song "Mammal" on one of their grown-up albums.
Ted in Atlanta:
huh?
scientific term "NO!" Scientologists?
Is that the unintellignent "Design dept"? way down there in Alleybama.
Lyle: I don't know if you'll be seeing this, but Ted was likely referring to the Giants' first children's album, "No!"
