Joshua Bell with Tiempo Libre and Frankie Moreno
Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Violinist Joshua Bell (Marc Hom)
Violinist Joshua Bell has appeared in the world’s leading concert halls, on the Oscar-winning score to the film The Red Violin, and even in a Washington, D.C. metro station, at the urging of a Washington Post columnist. But his latest recording, At Home With Friends, was inspired by his long-time practice of holding intimate "musical soirées" at his New York residence. Today, Bell joins us in the Greene Space to perform with two collaborators from the album: the hot young Latin band Tiempo Libre and singer-pianist Frankie Moreno.

Bravo, Joshua, for NOT staying put in a "box"--for playing good music, whatever the genre, and for playing it so well!
How do I get invited to one of those soirees?!!
Thank you so very much for the beautiful music! I go to every JB concert in NYC, what a pleasure to hear JB with a new mix of friends! Loved it!!!....
Home seems to be a theme for Mr. Bell like "Short Trip Home" one of my favorite albums!
Awesome rendition of Eleanor Rigby! Luckily the album is on iTunes. 17 songs for 10 bucks is a great deal!
I enjoyed the interview-Being an avid Frankie Moreno fan (he's my favorite piano player!) I heard your beautiful violin playing after purchasing "At home with friends".I love the "Eleanor Rigby" duet!
Why aren't you linking the video to this main page? I've got a Bell fan in Boston I want to get this to...
THE CD IS HYPNOTIZING TO THE EAR. FRANKIE MORENO IS AT HIS BEST!!
