Noteworthy New York with Guilherme Monteiro
Given how artists often find inspiration in their surroundings, Soundcheck has approached a variety of New York City musicians to ask them for their favorite cultural destination. Our web map, Noteworthy New York, artists share some of their favorite places, from parks and museums to bars and coffee shops. To whet your appetite, the Brooklyn-based, Brazilian-born jazz guitarist Guilherme Montero tells us why he’s a fan of Rose Live Music, a restaurant and jazz club in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.

Since Satalla closed several years ago now, I'm not sure where some of the better world music venues are around the City. I'm not sure if there has been a place to replace Satalla yet.
I adore Rose's Live Music - and especially loved Yah Supreme & Brohemian. Great atmosphere, music, and drinks.
